Good Friday is a special day in the Christian calendar. It marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ who is considered to be the son of god. The word Good Friday has mixed views over why it is being called Good Friday and not bad or sad Friday, though Christ was mercilessly crucified. There are other names for the day like god Friday and holy Friday. It is said that Jesus accepted the punishment considering that, the act will wash away all the sins of his people.

People consider the day as good as that is what lead to the resurrection of his spirit.
